All the cakes in the cafe are baked by volunteers like yourself, so if you like eating cake then come along and bake for the cafe. Whether you are an experienced cake-baker or a complete novice get involved, learn and have fun.
Meet at the cafe between around 12 pm to collect ingredients and take them to the kitchen at about 12:15 pm, or if that's not possible join us in the Cambridge Clubhouse, 47 Norfolk St (map).

Recipes :
We have a variety of recipes, but if you have a recipe that you'd like to make that requires something not on the list below then buy it, keep the receipt and you'll be reimbursed. Please try to follow the cafe's policy of buying vegetarian, fairtrade, organic, freerange, and local produce where possible.
The cafe tries to serve vegan food wherever possible, and it's actually pretty easy to adapt most non-vegan recipes. Butter is substituted with vegetable oil, eggs are substituted by mashed banana, apple sauce or no-egg -- we actually have a bunch of eggs at the moment, but in general we prefer to avoid their use.
